Carers play a vital role in providing care, support, and assistance to people with ongoing illnesses, disability, mental illness, and older and frail people.
Carers may be young, old, identify as LGBTIQ+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI), or be from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD). They may themselves be
living with an ongoing illness or disability and live in regional or remote areas. In short anyone could be a carer or find themselves in a caring role.
